Our Mission

Too many books go unread. Not for lack of desire — most people want to read more — but because time is short and the habit is hard to build.

SpeederReader exists to change that.

We believe that reading is one of the highest-leverage things a person can do. Books are where humanity's deepest thinking lives — compressed into hours instead of lifetimes. Every book finished is a conversation with someone who spent years mastering a subject and chose to share it. Every book left unread is a missed conversation.

Our mission is simple: help people read more books. More books means more knowledge, more empathy, more imagination, and more literacy — not just in the sense of the ability to read, but in the deeper sense of being fluent in ideas.

We use RSVP (Rapid Serial Visual Presentation) — a technique developed from decades of reading science — to help readers reach 2–3× their natural reading speed without sacrificing comprehension. A book that once took two weeks can be finished in a weekend. That changes the math. Suddenly, fifty books a year is achievable. A hundred is within reach.

Why Speed Reading?

The average adult reads at around 250 words per minute. The average non-fiction book is about 60,000 words. That's four hours of reading per book — assuming you sit down and focus, which most people don't.

At 500 WPM the same book takes two hours. At 750 WPM, just over an hour.

Speed reading is not skimming. Done correctly — with the right technique and practice — it is full reading at a higher gear. SpeederReader's RSVP method eliminates the eye movements that account for a significant portion of reading time, allowing your brain to process words at the rate it is actually capable of, not the rate your eyes allow.
